Guangzhou Int’l Documentary fest to host ‘The Marriage Project’

Iranian documentary ‘The Marriage Project’ has been selected to compete at the 17th edition of the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival (GZDOC) in China.

Co-directed by Hessam Eslami and Atieh Attarzadeh, ‘The Marriage Project’ is about the patients of a mental hospital and the challenges they face.

The documentary has participated in several film festivals before, including the 51st Visions du Réel International Film Festival in Switzerland and the 12th Millennium International Documentary Film Festival in Belgium

The GZDOC aims to bring the best of international documentaries to the local audience.

It also includes interviews and conferences and creates a space for attendees to exchange knowledge.

The 2020 edition of the event is slated for December 14-17, 2020.
